This book is comprehensive and complete. I passed the Essentials test and expect to take the Practical Application test next week.

This book is a lot easier to read than the actual Comptia A+ book but don't even bother with the study guide questions. Just read the book. The CD is only good for the flash cards, don't bother with the questions because they don't apply to the exam in any way. The exam has completely different questions.

It showed up on time. A Must have if your going for Comp Tia A+ and any other IT certs.

Overall, this book left me a bit over-prepared for the A+ exam, which is not a bad thing! My scoring was 846/900 on the Essentials and 820/900 on the Practical Application. I also purchased a second Q&A book, but it was unneeded. If you read this book, and study it well, you will pass with ease.
The test questions at the end of each chapter are well done, and will give you a solid assessment of your understanding of the chapter. There are also "Exam Essentials" at the end of each ... Read More

instead of going over thoroughly the topics on the test like setting up operating systems or how to find tabs in windows 2000 it glosses over them in a page or two then goes on to list a thousand more technical terms in the next 10 pages
you dont have to know everything in the world to pass the test, you just have to know what your talking about dont bother memorizing everything in this book you wont pass with that alone find many different sources and stay on top of all the newer technologies ... Read More
